- This photo was taken in the Spirit Island viewing area at Maligne Lake in Jasper National Park, Alberta Canada.
- This photo is an HDR image - it is several different exposures combined using computer software to create an image that has a high dynamic range. It was taken with a Canon EOS Rebel T3i camera and a Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II lens.
- Spirit Island is not actually an island, at least in the summer time - it is more of a peninsula. This location can be easily reached in the summer months by taking a tour boat from near the parking area. The photos that make up this image were taken in the summer of 2016 when my family and I were camping in the Jasper area and took the boat tour to Spirit Island.
